Gartner recently shared a post highlighting the importance of CIOs becoming more than a manager of IT resources and focusing on becoming a trusted advisor to their peers across the organization.  Leigh McMullen, managing vice president at Gartner, shared three key abilities that CIOs should develop:

  1. Sell a compelling vision
  2. Persuasion through listening
  3. Overcoming resistance
