My colleagues at Robert Half Technology recently published an update to their IT Hiring Forecast and Local Trends Report which highlighted several positives for those in the information technology fields:

  • A fifth of all CIOs indicated a need to hire additional full-time IT employees in the second half of 2017.  This is an increase of 5% from the first half of the year.
  • Over half (63%) of participants felt that finding suitably skilled professionals was “somewhat or very challenging.”
  • Not surprisingly, staff retention is a significant concern for CIOs as their resource explore their options in the marketplace.
