A few months ago, Wired magazine published a fascinating article discussing the GameOver botnet and how a team of law enforcement and private sector professionals were able to take over the botnet and attempt to bring its creators to justice. The article should be required reading for any IT professional to learn about the efforts necessary to respond to cybersecurity threats. (And it was also nice to see Pittsburgh get a shout out in the article and that our local FBI office played a critical role in the effort.)
