In keeping with Monday’s post regarding how best to communicate to Millennials, I wanted to share this article from CIO.com titled “How to train new grads on corporate security.”  As this new generation begins to enter the workforce, it is becoming increasingly important to both train them on the importance on corporate information security and changing our information security mindset to scale to the new technical reality.

I think the article really highlights two key areas for success in training Millennials on information security.  First, IT must take an opportunity to onboard new users and explain the expectations and importance of following information security guidelines.  Secondly, IT cannot assume that every member of the “digital native” generation is tech-savvy enough to protect sensitive corporate information without further guidance and re-enforcement.
