Keeping in the theme from Wednesday, I came across this article about how security researchers managed to gain access to LastPass encrypted vaults and their passwords. I’ll admit that I’m not technical enough to understand some of the work that was being done, but it was fascinating to read the methodical analysis that was done to ultimate gain access (and help LastPass make their product more secure). Even if you don’t want to read through all of the technical explanations, be sure to review the Recommendations section at the end of the article if you are a LastPass user. The researchers outline some actions that you can take to protect your LastPass account.
