Bring-your-own-device has become a reality for IT departments regardless of whether its permitted in your organization or not.  IT needs to be proactive and seek out ways to educate end-users on the risks associated with using personal devices for business purposes..  One of my favorite quotes in the article focuses on how organizations can mitigate their risk:
